Social Media Guidelines

Social media sites allow us to interact and communicate with patients, caregivers and physicians in ways that traditional websites cannot. As a biopharmaceutical company with development-stage products, we are committed to certain ethical, legal, and regulatory standards unique to this industry. By establishing a presence on social platforms, we aim to embrace this new media and engage with our audiences, and do so responsibly.

We have a presence on several platforms that you can use to keep up to date with Stealth BioTherapeutics (Stealth) news and activities. These accounts are subject to our community guidelines below.

We encourage you to interact by following us and discussing relevant topics. However, Stealth expects that followers will be respectful of others. Please read through these guidelines, which may change from time to time.

GUIDELINES:

We welcome your posts, mentions and replies and we’ll do our best to respond to most questions. We will not respond to personal attacks, foul language, disparaging comments or topics that do not relate directly to Stealth. We may not be able to respond to your questions immediately and some responses may be limited in nature.

There may be some questions and comments we cannot address, including questions directly related to financial matters, ongoing legal matters, regulatory issues, or certain other elements of our business.

Due to the unique legal requirements of our industry, we cannot offer medical advice or otherwise engage in a promotion or discussion about specific products or treatment options on social media. Medical and health topics may be discussed on Stealth social media but should not be construed as medical advice. Your physician remains your best source of information about medicines and treatments.

We hope that your contributions will add value to the overall dialogue and appreciate you providing links or other resources to support any claims.

DISCLAIMERS:

  • Social media accounts that we follow or are followed by us do not indicate an endorsement of the account owner or their products and services. Nor do we verify, represent or endorse any opinions or information expressed by third-party organizations or individuals posting content to our social media accounts. Any content posted by anyone other than Stealth is the responsibility of the submitter and not Stealth.
  • We may occasionally share links to third party sites when we think you will find the information helpful. However, Stealth claims no responsibility for the content of such other sites and shall not be liable for any damages or injury arising from that content. Any links to other sites are provided as merely a convenience to the users of this account.
  • Stealth social media accounts are not places to report any medical adverse events or reactions or product complaints. If you believe that you have experienced any medical adverse events or reactions from a Stealth investigational compound, please consult your physician immediately. If you believe you have experienced an adverse event, please contact us through the patient inquiries number on our website. Should you accidentally include an adverse event report in your post, Stealth may need to contact you to find out more information. This is due to regulatory requirements concerning safety reporting. In the United States, you may also report side effects to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or by calling 1-800-FDA-1088.
  • We reserve all rights relating to the Stealth social media accounts including, but not limited to, all rights to add, remove or modify any content or material posted on the account, discontinue the account, accept or reject those who may wish to follow the account and respond to any questions or comments addressed to the account. We reserve the right to remove any of our social media platforms and its contents at any time. Please check often for updates, as we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify these community guidelines at any time. Your use of our social media properties indicates your acceptance of any revisions to these terms. Also, while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently, Stealth may take any actions it deems appropriate to ensure a particular site is not disrupted or abused in any way.

In addition to the privacy policy and terms of use of the third-party social media platform, your use of our social properties and Stealth’s text, graphics, images, logos, button icons, software and other material is governed by Stealth’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
